CincyTech is pleased to announce the promotion of Sean to the position of Vice President, Investments. A veteran of the firm since 2015, Sean has played an instrumental role in more than 100 early-stage venture financings and has served as a key advisor on numerous exit transactions.
In his new capacity, Sean will lead CincyTech’s investment team, overseeing the sourcing of deal flow and the management of a portfolio focused on high-impact technology and life sciences. Beyond capital allocation, Sean will be responsible for mentoring the firm’s analysts and associates and working closely with the CEO and CFO to drive fund returns and manage investor relations.
"Having been part of the CincyTech team since 2015, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible talent within the Ohio startup ecosystem. I’m honored to take on this new role as Vice President, Investments, and look forward to deepening our partnerships with visionary founders to build world-class companies right here in Ohio," Sean noted.
As Vice President, Sean will continue to offer hands-on strategic guidance to founders, helping them navigate early operational hurdles, secure follow-on institutional capital, and achieve successful exits.
"Sean's deep expertise in valuation and his commitment to the Ohio startup ecosystem have been invaluable to CincyTech," said Emma Off, CEO & President of CincyTech. "His leadership will be vital as we continue to transform regional ideas into world-class companies".
Sean holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from Miami University and is a licensed CPA, having previously served at Ernst & Young LLP. Today, he leverages that expertise to support the broader ecosystem as the Membership Chair of VentureNext and an Advisory Board member at Alloy Growth Lab.
