She has brought together a powerful coalition, uniting government agencies, research institutions, industry partners, nonprofits, and corporate sponsors. Through this inclusive approach, Emma has helped position Cincinnati as a true hub for healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship.

Her advocacy was instrumental in securing a $67 million extension of the Ohio Third Frontier Entrepreneurial Services Provider program, providing significant funding to regional entrepreneurs and supporting the commercialization of groundbreaking medical, engineering, and scientific technologies.

Emma is not only advancing CincyTech’s early-stage life sciences investments, but also tirelessly elevates our entire innovation ecosystem. Working alongside organizations like Cintrifuse, Lightship Foundation, Alloy Development Co., Main Street Ventures, and UC Ventures Lab, she is driving increased investment and educating leaders on the importance of venture development as a catalyst for growth and job creation.

Legal and Business Excellence

Before joining CincyTech, Emma was a partner at Thompson Hine, where she built a top-tier global mergers & acquisitions practice and was recognized by esteemed publications such as Legal 500, Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, and Cincinnati Magazine. Her expertise resulted in pivotal transactions including the sales of DotLoop to Zillow and Assurex Health to Myriad Genetics. At Thompson Hine, she also helped shape the firm’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion as co-chair of the Cincinnati office’s DE&I committee.

Emma’s leadership is rooted in mentorship and empowerment. She has guided countless professionals in their own careers, believing that “a rising tide lifts all ships.” At CincyTech, she continuously fosters a culture where her team is empowered to lead, learn, and innovate.
